Grimsby, Cleethorpes & Beyond
Grimsby and its twin town Cleethorpes sit at the mouth of the Humber — a busy port town with a mix of Victorian terraced housing and modern residential estates. Garage doors here face a genuine challenge from the coastal climate: salt air accelerates corrosion on springs, cables, and fixings, and strong sea winds put motors and counterbalance systems under additional stress.
Selcce's engineers are experienced working in coastal environments across Grimsby, Cleethorpes, Immingham, Waltham and New Waltham. For properties in exposed positions within the DN31–DN37 postcode area, we recommend and use stainless steel fixings and marine-grade hardware as standard — extending the life of your installation significantly.
Our base in Barton upon Humber is about 24 miles from Grimsby via the A180 — typically around 35 minutes, making us one of the fastest-response local garage door specialists in the area. We aim for same-day attendance on emergency repairs and offer free surveys for new installations within 2–3 days.
